Michigan State Tuesday

Friends, today's theme will be the six Ps.

The six Ps are related to the five Ps: Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance.  As a reminder, this is good.  But sometimes it's that little extra bit of effort that makes all the difference.

The above gif has added at least 3 points to David Shaw's blood pressure

Which is why we have the six Ps: Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

Some schools could get quite the benefit from learning the Six Ps.  Schools that have a habit of sudden, unfortunate failure at important moments in life.  And the team that proudly stands atop this mountain of failure is none other than the Michigan State Spartans.  If you doubt me, read on.  For you see, I know some of this readership has lost much of their time playing Sporcle quiz after Sporcle quiz.  But did you know you can take a 26 question quiz covering the last decade of "Sparty, NO!"?

You can!  In fact, some people find taking the quiz highly amusing.  Do you enjoy taking the "Sparty, NO!" quiz, Sparty?

A little bit more prior planning would have prevented many of the piss poor performances referenced above. It certainly would have helped some other Sparty fans.  Like the man we'll just call 'Tagger'.  Now, tagging a car with graffiti is a bad enough idea as is. But if you ARE going to commit an act of vandalism, first check your spelling:

Remember, Staee: Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

Or this man, who bedecked his sweet ride with all sorts of State/Staee paraphernalia, down to the license plate: TD MSU. Except he took things a step too far:

Some blogs refuse to traffic in hateful stereotypes of the people the
readership dislikes.  If you haven't yet noticed, this is not one of those blogs.

Yes, Mr. Staee fan, you could have done better.  A bit of prior planning could have prevented that piss poor performance.  It's crap like this that makes the good, die hard State/Staee fans upset at getting lumped in with you.  Almost as upset as this man (WARNING: NSFW if you work in a Spanish-speaking office):

I imagine this is what it is like to be a MSU fan on a regular basis

More on Sparty tomorrow.  Until then, enjoy the Backer Song of the Day:

    1. Becky,

I'll put you back on the email list, then. I made it opt-in going forward because some people were complaining about the clutter.

      And thank you!
