We've all been busy doing a couple of necessary things: 1) analyzing what went wrong against Michigan and 2) dodging the most annoying Michigan fan in the office. Because of this, some of you may have missed the news that Purdue is awful. Just how awful? Purdue started the season against Cincinnati

In this picture, Purdue converted a first down to get first and goal at the Cincinnati five. The Purdue offense promptly moved back seventeen yards and missed a field goal. Cincinnati scored first to go up 7-0. Purdue then tied it up at 7-7. Cincinnati then rattled off 35 unanswered points to win 42-7.
So everyone thought Purdue was bad, and Cincy was good. Then came week two, when Cincy lost 45-17 to . . .
ILLINOIS?!?!?
And Purdue managed a 20-14 victory over mighty Indiana State, with a safety recording a game clinching interception on the Purdue 35.
Yes. Purdue notched a victory over the mighty Sycamores, who had spent the previous week losing to Indiana, 73-35
Yes. Might Indiana, who lost 41-35
to the United States Naval Academy.
So, long story short: all signs point to Purdue football being absolutely God-awful this year.
