Air Force Tuesday

  Friends,

Happy Tuesday.  Yes, it's a work day, and very far from the weekend.  But at least it isn't Monday.  So it has that going for it, which is nice.

Ahhhh, golf.  If you're someplace where it is still warm enough to play,
I envy you.

Right now the Irish are sitting pretty after their win against Southern Cal.

Please forgive the above photo.  We dearly wanted to have a member of the football team seated upon a throne of skulls after defeating Southern Cal, but our attorneys (damn their oily hides!) advised us that would be, shall we say, illegal.

So instead it's time to look ahead to Air Force.  We play them away from home this year, in the rarified air of Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Of course, this means it is time to travel by air.  Now, this has been a problem for the team in the past.  The trip to San Antonio went awry when Golden Tate had a problem with his luggage with the TSA at South Bend Airport.  A trip to Boston College one year later also went awry.  The commercial flight the team was supposed to take to Massachusetts was cancelled, forcing the team to take the road trip from hell.  And now, the problem gets even worse.  Big Lou Nix is on the team, and bigger than ever.

necessitating ruinous extra fees if the school insisted on flying the team commercial.  Fortunately, Coach Kelly has a plan, a plan that will avoid the risk of flight cancellations, the risk of TSA screenings for plutonium, or the risk of Lou Nix not fitting in the plane.  Behold, the Notre Dame - Air Force game chartered flight!

Genius time, folks.  Genius time.

More tomorrow
