Naval Academy Monday

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Welcome back to Monday.  There were a number of games this week that went exactly as planned.  Oregon dispatched UCLA with room to spare, making Puddles the Duck's early rising worth it.

The Baylor Bears trounced the Kansas Jayhawks 59-14

And Notre Dame annihilated the Air Force Academy 45-10.

Elsewhere, there were suprises.  Minnesota upset Nebraska in Minneapolis.  Alll penguins in attendance were happy.

the Nebraska fan behind them?  Not so much.

Miami had to score a last minute TD to beat lowly Wake Forest in the Orange Bowl in front of thousands of football fans.

And undefeated Mizzou was well on its way to another win, ranked #5 and up 17-0 against South Carolina. But then they surrendered 10 straight points.  followed by a touchdown scored on a 4th and goal from the fifteen, taking Mizzou to overtime.  after an exchange of touchdowns, they went to 2nd overtime.  South Carolina opened with a field goal.  Mizzou drove to the four yard line, but had to settle for a field goal attempt to force 3OT.  but the holder channeled his inner Dan Marino and put the laces in.  The result?

DOINK!

Doink.  The worst word in the language for Tiger fans.  The best in the world for Gamecock fans. Hopefully this brief outbreak of football insanity has quenched itself before Notre Dame's tilt with the Naval Academy, and we can avoid tearing our hair out and instead focus on Cam McDaniel's sweet aerial moves:

See you all tomorrow.
